On Thursday morning, a 40-year-old German had already received a few advertisements. He was involved in a traffic accident and committed a hit-and-run. But he didn’t get far with the damaged car. A witness noticed the broken vehicle and called the police. A clinical examination revealed that the 40-year-old was unfit to drive because he had taken drugs. The officers couldn’t take away his driver’s license because he didn’t have a valid driving license.

Since the car he had borrowed was no longer drivable, the 40-year-old from Wanghausen had to switch to his own car in order to remain mobile. However, this was not approved for traffic. That’s why the German tried to steal license plates from a car parked there at the commuter parking lot in his hometown around 3:30 p.m.
He was observed and the police caught him again. He reacted with incomprehension and behaved conspicuously towards the officers. When a doctor checked again, he was again diagnosed with drug impairment and unfit to drive.
Further charges are now awaiting the man from the district administration authority and public prosecutor’s office.
