The height rescuers from the professional fire department and the rope technology group from the professional rescue rescued the 76-year-old. The man wanted to visit the tower room, but had medical problems at a height of 70 meters on the south tower. The fire department responded at 11:50 a.m. with 22 emergency services in five vehicles, and the rescue team deployed its rope technology group.

The firefighters set up the anchor point for the tourist to abseil into the cathedral. The emergency services from both organizations then recovered him and brought him to the ground, where he was handed over to the rescue workers. After further emergency medical care – which had already started in the tower – they took him to a hospital.
