LINZ. For eight years now, students from eight universities along the Danube have been competing once a year at the “Danube Cup” and presenting their start-up ideas to a jury. The event is taking place in Linz for the first time this year: In the LIT Open Innovation Center at the JKU from May 15th to 17th, the question will be examined: “Who has the best pitch?”
Two teams each from the JKU, the University of Passau, the TU Budapest, the WU Vienna, the Corvinus University Budapest, the University of Belgrade and the Technical University and University of Regensburg will compete against each other this year.
The start-ups “Pflegezeit” and “Surfjobs” are launching for the JKU this year.
Nursing time, consisting of Lisa Mahler, Jakob Kreutner and Alexander Loidl, has developed an app that is intended to support relatives of dementia patients with care at home. In addition to memory exercises, “Nursing Time” also provides tips for personal care for sick people.
