Things are slowly getting tight at Renault. In the compact segment. The Captur, Austral and Arkana models are circling around there, and now the French are squeezing an SUV in between: the Symbioz.
With a length of 4.41 meters and a wheelbase of 2.64 meters, the new one is parked between Captur (4.23 meters) and Austral (4.51). The French call the compact SUV a family car that offers more space than its little brother. The trunk, for example, holds 624 liters – a very good value in this vehicle segment. The back seat of the spacious 5-seater can be moved lengthwise by 16 centimeters. If the 60:40 split backrests are folded down, the loading volume expands to 1582 liters. Good: There is no loading sill on the electric tailgate.

Darkening at the push of a button
The now seemingly obligatory panoramic roof can be darkened electrically.
The design itself is similar to that of the Clio and Captur. Straight lines, clearly structured – completely in keeping with the style of the time. The front and rear slope steeply, the window line rises slightly towards the rear. The black plastic edge along the wheel arches is visually dominant. All 18 and 19 inch rims are new and were designed exclusively for this model. There are seven paint colors to choose from: including the new, bright Mercure blue and the iconic Dezir red.
