A police patrol from the Klaus motorway police wanted to stop the car with Croatian license plates for a check on Friday around 4:40 p.m. at the Ried im Traunkreis exit. The vehicle initially drove behind the patrol car on the slow lane. Shortly after the police officers were already on the motorway exit, the driver behind them suddenly turned left and accelerated.
Risky overtaking maneuvers
The car sped away at high speed and the driver dangerously overtook other vehicles several times. At the Inzersdorf construction site, he drove much too quickly into the closed construction site area and crashed the car twice into the concrete barrier on the right.
Although the car was badly damaged, the driver continued driving at high speed into the Ottsdorf tunnel near Micheldorf. There the right front tire came off the rim and the car came to a stop shortly before the tunnel exit.
