Within the framework of his participation in the sugar cane harvest in Bella Unión last Thursday, the president acknowledged that he spoke with the Argentine government about it after having participated in a dinner organized by the Libertad Foundation, which took place in Buenos Aires.


“Without (wanting to) generate false expectations, a few days ago I was in Buenos Aires and I met the president for a few minutes (Javier) Mileibut especially with the chancellor (Diana Mondino), and we talked about three issues that are very important to us,” he said at a press conference, referring to the Bella Unión – Monte Caseros bridge, as well as the dredging of the Port of Montevideo and the one that goes from Nueva Palmira (Colony) to Fray Bentos (Río Negro).
