Since his arrest on the day of the crime, the defendant had remained silent about the investigators’ allegations. The public prosecutor’s office assumes that the German worships the serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, who committed one of the most gruesome series of murders in the USA and about whom there is a Netflix series. He is said to have only committed the crime to kill someone – that is, out of a desire to murder.
Because the defendant is a juvenile, the law requires a closed-door trial. In juvenile proceedings, the idea of education is in the foreground. In the case of murder, the maximum youth sentence is ten years. Preventive detention is possible under strict conditions. The murder weapon, a nine-millimeter Ceska CZ 75 pistol, belonged to a 66-year-old who lived in the same house as the defendant. However, it is not yet publicly known how the teenager got his hands on the weapon.
