The father of four children, Jared Schmeck, who used an offensive phrase against the American leader during the Christmas telephone line of US President Joe Biden with children, explained the motives for his action.
“I have nothing against Mr. Biden, but I am upset because I believe that he could do his job better,” The Oregonian newspaper quotes him on December 25.
He added that he was not going to demonstrate disrespect towards the head of the White House in this way.
The 35-year-old American explained his remarks as a joke and complained about subsequent attacks in his direction for the fact that he “used his freedom of speech.”
Schmek explained that he is not a supporter of the former US President, Republican Donald Trump, and described himself as “a free-thinking American and a follower of Jesus Christ.”
The perpetrator of the incident, as suggested by Biden, lives in Oregon. He works for an electrical company, before that he served in the police for six years.
The father of four said that he was not aware of the broadcast of the conversation. However, according to him, after uttering the ill-fated phrase, the call was disconnected.
On December 24, during a telephone call with children, one of the parents insulted Biden. He said, “I hope you have a wonderful Christmas too. Go ahead, Brandon! “
This euphemism is usually used by Biden’s opponents in American conservative circles instead of swearing at the head of the White House.
The phrase became popular after fans at the National Stock Car Racing Association (NASCAR) competitions chanted curses at the head of the Washington administration in October. In a live interview with racer Brandon Brown, a journalist thought the crowd was chanting, “Come on, Brandon!” Since then, this phrase has been used to insult Biden.
The data of a poll by the sociological service The Marist Institute, conducted from December 11 to 13, show that Joe Biden’s activities in the presidency of the United States do not suit 55% of the country’s population, including 44% strongly disapprove of the work of the American leader.
