Pep Lijnders could become the new coach of Red Bull Salzburg.

This is reported by the British “Times”. The Dutchman is Jürgen Klopp’s assistant coach at Liverpool FC. After the German retires from the “Reds” at the end of the season, Lijnders is said to be aiming for a head coach position.
Most recently, Ajax Amsterdam and Besiktas Istanbul also tried for the Liverpool assistant, but interest from Salzburg – according to the paper – is currently the strongest.
The 41-year-old has been Klopp’s assistant coach at Liverpool since 2015. From January to May 2018, Lijnders had a short stint as head coach at Eredivisie club NEC Nijmegen, returning to Klopp’s side after half a year.

After Onur Cinel was dismissed, Onur Cinel, who came from FC Liefering, took over at Salzburg. As those responsible in Salzburg have emphasized several times, it has been agreed that Cinel will return to the partner club in the summer.
