Even though summer hasn’t even started yet, a third of the population has already had sunburn this year. This emerges from survey data that Marketagent online collected in April for the “Cosmetics Transparent” industry platform. In “Generation Z”, those born between the mid-1990s and the early 2010s, the figure is even 53.2 percent. Compared to 2017, however, “the importance of sun protection has generally increased”. Only six percent of Austrians generally forego sun protection. Prevention is the top priority and the use of high sun protection factors (SPF) has become widespread.
