The Austrian Sailing Association will tackle the trip to the Summer Games in France with nine athletes.
The association announced the nomination by name for the regatta in Marseille on Wednesday. In the 49er the quota place went to Benjamin Bildstein/David Hussl, in the Nacra 17 to Tanja Frank and the Mondseer Lukas Haberl.
The Austrian Olympic Committee also confirmed Lorena Abicht’s place in the iQFoil, which she achieved in the last chance regatta. There was no discussion about Lara Vadlau/Lukas Mähr getting the quota place in the 470, as well as Valentin Bontus and Alina Kornelli in the Formula Kite.
The decision on the nomination was made by association president Dieter Schneider, sports director Matthias Schmid and the head of the technology department, double Olympic champion Roman Hagara.
