As the police reported, the German was run over by an oncoming car after falling. The emergency doctor could only determine that the man was dead. The 84-year-old was traveling on Unterinnviertler Straße (L513) towards Ried around midday when two cars stopped in front of him due to traffic. The motorcycle driver tried to avoid the car in front of him, but hit it and fell.
He came to rest in the oncoming lane. The oncoming 51-year-old driver (also from Germany) was unable to brake his car in time and ran over the man who had fallen. Any help came too late for the elderly biker; he was still lying at the scene of the accident.
