What are the Uruguayan companies in the world ranking of leading entrepreneurs?

Endeavor carry out its annual ranking of entrepreneurs worldwide who stand out for their work in the community and rapid growth, there, three Uruguayan companies stood out among many others that are part of the growing business sector that occurs in Latin America.

“They are those entrepreneurs who challenge expectations and show that transformative innovation can emerge from anywhere, even in emerging markets,” says the ranking. Endeavor, Outliers, regarding the selection criteria for companies to be part of the list.

Covering more than 30 countries Latin America, Middle East and Europe, Outliers highlights that more than 50% of the companies come from seven markets: Brazil, Spain, Indonesia, Mexico, Argentina, United Arab Emirates and Italy.

From a total of these ventures, about $31 billion was raised in the last three years, generating 1.3 million jobs in 33 countries.

Latin America growing

The Latin American region was the main protagonist of the ranking of Endeavor. 36% of Outliers belonging to Latin Americawhile 16.4% Europe and another 18.7% belong to the region of Middle East and North Africa. Asia, for its part, has a share of 13.8% and USA and Canada they obtained 8.4% of the ranking.

Uruguayan companies

Of the total number of companies ranked, three belong to the Uruguay. The best known is dLocal, the cross-border payments technology platform designed to handle massive online payments in emerging markets in LATAM, APAC and EMEA.

The other is Prex, a “neobank” based in the country and also operating in Argentina and Peru. Its mission is to democratize access to digital financial services in the border markets of Latin America. Finally, it remains traffic, a company dedicated to creating direct-to-consumer e-commerce clothing and intimacy.
