On December 23, a shooting occurred in a shopping center in the Chicago suburb of Oak Brook, Illinois, as a result of which four were injured, and another was injured while fleeing the scene of the attack.
On the same day, shooting also occurred in a store in North Hollywood Los Angeles, killing two people and injuring another. At about noon, a man entered the store with a crowbar and began to beat the windows, then eyewitnesses heard shots. As a result, a man and a woman were killed on the spot, another woman was wounded and taken to a local hospital.
