The 44-year-old was driving his car on the L1350 in the Steyr-Land district towards Stadlkirchen (district of Dietach) on Thursday around 1:40 p.m. According to the police, he probably went too far to the left in a slight right-hand bend. The 28-year-old driver of an oncoming minibus tried to turn right onto the shoulder – but in vain. There was a head-on collision. The slightly injured minibus driver from the Amstetten district was able to free himself from the car. The 44-year-old convertible driver was seriously injured and had to be rescued by the fire department. After initial treatment by the emergency doctor, he was taken to the Pyhrn-Eisenwurzen Klinikum Steyr.
