With their diploma thesis, Anna Huemer and Anna-Maria Ensinger set themselves the task of improving important needs in the everyday life of senior citizens. In fact, some improvements could be implemented in the St. Klara Home.
The two students from the higher education institute for business professions at the Don Bosco Schools in Vöcklabruck started a project with the St. Klara nursing home for their diploma thesis. In many personal conversations, they asked the residents about their satisfaction with the food and then came up with suggestions for improvement. The home management promptly took them up and implemented them all: Recently, there have been spices on the tables for seasoning, the popular types of salad are taken into account, and beer is also served on Sundays and public holidays.
The project “Together for one another” was awarded third place in the Spitzenschule competition by Deputy Governor Christine Haberlander and Regional Councilor Birgit Gerstorfer. Home manager Margit Hollerweger thanked the students and the project supervisor Elfriede Waldhör for the good research and dedicated work and presented a small thank you.
