The 59-year-old from the Braunau district was driving his car on the Aicher Landesstraße from Eggelsberg at around 11 p.m. At the intersection with the Oberinnviertler Landesstraße, the man wanted to turn left. However, he failed to see the vehicle of a 21-year-old from the Braunau district who was driving from Gundertshausen towards Mattighofen. Her two-year-old daughter was in the car with her.

The young mother and her child were injured when the two cars collided. They were taken to the hospital in Braunau. The 59-year-old driver was uninjured.
