The newspaper delivery man, a 71-year-old from the Rohrbach district, had stopped his car in the left lane in front of a house at around 4:40 a.m. A 26-year-old German, who was driving his car from Pfaffetschlag towards Ulrichsberg, failed to see the 71-year-old’s stationary car and a head-on collision occurred.

The newspaper delivery man was slightly injured in the accident and was taken to Rohrbach Hospital after receiving first aid. A breathalyzer test on the 26-year-old showed a blood alcohol level of 1.42 per mille.
