JetSMART will connect Montevideo with Bariloche and two other Argentine cities

The low-cost airline also put flights on sale from Carrasco Airport to Neuquén and Puerto Iguazú.

The Chilean low-cost airline JetSMART will connect the Carrasco International Airport with the Argentine cities of Bariloche (Black river), Neuquen (Neuquén) and Puerto Iguazu (Misiones) starting next May 29, and since last Tuesday it has been offering tickets to these destinations.

JetSMART, which already offered flights to Buenos Aires and Mendozawill now add three other Argentine cities to an offer that also includes flights to Brazil, Chili, Colombia, Paraguay and Peru.

Veronica Marambio Alvarezcommercial manager of International Markets at JetSMART, assured that the incorporation of these destinations for the offer is another example of a work that seeks to “develop a regional network by increasing connectivity to each of the countries in South America.”

The tickets for these flights will be operated with a connection at the Jorge Newbery Airport in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires (CABA)and they aim to be “a great proposal for the winter holiday season,” the airline said.

What flights does the airline offer from Montevideo?

In addition to the five flights to Argentina, the low cost offers connections to other points in Mercosur, such as Rio de Janeiroin Brazil and Assumption from Paraguay.

The offer to Chile is even more varied, since in addition to its capital Santiago, it is possible to reach Calama, Concepción, Iquique, Puerto Montt and Temuco. The other three destinations outside Mercosur are Bogota and Medellín, in Colombia, and Limein Peru.
