Two cars with a total of six passengers collided head-on on Saturday morning in St. Pantaleon-Erla in the Amstetten district on the border with Upper Austria. Two people were seriously injured. A rescue helicopter took one of them to hospital, the other was transported by ambulance. A total of six people had to be treated medically.

5 fire brigades were deployed – in addition to those from Lower Austria, the Mauthausen fire brigade and the Haid fire brigade from the Perg district. The road was closed in the area of the accident site, causing considerable traffic jams.
