Julian Schütter may no longer ski professionally, but he is still very committed to his second passion – environmental protection.

Schütter was there when the Krems-Au retention basin was ceremoniously opened with political dignitaries on Saturday. During Governor Thomas Stelzer’s speech, members of the “Last Generation” stormed the podium.
Schütter, meanwhile, remained in the audience. The 26-year-old stood on a table, grabbed a microphone and criticized the politicians: “Such construction will not protect you from disasters as long as state governors manage to continue to approve gas drilling and continue to seal off the land on a massive scale.”
The video shows that only the police could stop Schütter.
