Almost 4000 athletes will compete in the Businessrun in Wels

The Wels-Grieskirchen Clinic will be there on Wednesday with 487 participants, Fronius with 637 employees.

The weather forecast is currently very good for the Wels Business Run, which starts on Wednesday, May 29th, at 7:30 p.m. 3,938 participants are registered, 3,213 runners and 725 Nordic walkers. “This is the second best result in history and an increase of 25 percent compared to last year,” say the organizers Franz Sperrer and Hermann Kaufmann from the Wels Running Team. The OÖNachrichten is once again a media partner at the popular company run.

This year, numerous records have been broken in terms of the number of participants. Fronius will be represented by 637 employees, a new all-time record, and more employees than ever before are also taking part from the Wels/Grieskirchen Clinic (487) and TGW Logistics (339).

Own apprentice challenge

To get young people excited about exercise, there is also a special apprentice challenge. The top three are TGW with 62 participants, Rico (46) and Fronius (31). The 78-year-old Fronius senior boss Klaus Fronius will once again complete the five-kilometer run with the apprentices.

Late registrations are no longer possible, only re-registrations on Wednesday in exhibition hall 20.

The prizes include a Wattpilot (charging solution for electric cars), a weekend with vehicles provided and a stand-up paddle. After the “most persistent” runners have reached the finish line, the Businessrun party with DJ Reini begins at 8.30 p.m. in exhibition hall 20.
