Teen killed three peers on Christmas weekend in Texas

Three teenagers were killed and one was seriously injured after an armed guy in Garland, Texas, USA on Sunday, December 26, started shooting at a gas station shop, local television station KSAT reported.

Garland Police Chief Jeff Brian said the 14-year-old, who is believed to be a shooter by investigators, was arrested Monday afternoon.

On the video from the security cameras, one could see a young man without a shirt, who, bending down, walked to the store with a pistol in his hands. He flung open the door and began firing from the doorway. The attacker fired more than 20 shots from a 40-caliber pistol, police said.

Authorities did not name the suspect, but said he got into a white Dodge Ram pickup with a scratch on most of the passenger side and someone else drove him away. Police said they were looking for the man who was driving the pickup.

Brian clarified that the motives for the shooting have not yet been established. Two of the victims were 16-year-old boys who came to the store together. The third is a 14-year-old boy who ordered food from the store. The fourth person to be seriously injured was a chef from the store. He is 15 years old.

Shootings over Christmas weekend in the United States killed 129 people and injured another 248, the Gun Violence Archive reported. Over the weekend of December 24-26, there were 298 gun-related deaths. Moreover, most of all deaths were recorded on December 25.

So, on December 24, in a shopping center in the suburb of Chicago Oak Brook (Illinois), there was a shooting, as a result of which four people were injured, another was injured while fleeing from the scene of the attack. According to law enforcement officers, three people were shooting, two of them have already been detained. The third attacker was not immediately detained.
