BRAUNAU. If these walls could talk – they would have a lot to say: The local history museum in Braunau is more than 800 years old, and its historic bell foundry is particularly famous.
Well, the walls may not be able to tell the story, but exciting stories have been passed down from generation to generation. Actors want to bring this story to life during theater walks and slip into various roles in the historic rooms of the local history house in Braunau’s old town.
Napoleon, lumbago & beards
Dressed up in costume, they take visitors on a journey into the past and tell stories about the time when the first settlement was built on the banks of the Inn. And about the still famous man who had a beard so long that he even tripped over it. The actors also know how to protect yourself from lumbago by keeping a piece of branch in your trouser pocket. Oh yes, and have you heard of the Braunau shipping family that has something to do with Napoleon?
If you are interested in the exciting history of the town of Braunau, the theater walks are just the thing for you. They will take place for the first time on Saturday, June 1st, at 3 p.m.
Further theatre walks are planned for July 6, August 3, and September 7 and 14, each Saturday at 3 p.m. Please note that the number of participants is limited!
Tickets are only available by pre-order at the Braunau District Museum Herzogsburg, Tuesday to Saturday from 2.30 p.m. to 5 p.m., by calling 07722/808-237.
