After a knife attack at the tent festival in Eschenau (Grieskirchen district), in which a young person (16) was seriously injured at the end of August, the Wels public prosecutor brought charges against a 16-year-old, as a spokesman for the Wels public prosecutor confirmed to OÖN.
The young person will have to answer for deliberate serious bodily harm in court. A trial date has not yet been set. The boy faces up to five years imprisonment. The later victim left the tent festival around four in the morning on foot and met the youth of the same age and his girlfriend on the way. It is not clear why the alleged perpetrator should have rammed a jackknife into the upper body of the apprentice. The 16-year-old was in mortal danger, luckily he survived the bloody act.
The accused did not confess and claimed that he had not spoken to the victim at all, according to the agency’s spokesman. However, there is a cell phone video that is considered important evidence.
