A canoe trip ended in a cold and wet situation for two water sports enthusiasts on Friday: the duo capsized at around 5 p.m. near Mauthausen (Perg district) and fell into the 16-degree cold Danube. The boat could not be turned over. The group was four people on the trip, and a second canoe was able to steer to the bank, the Mauthausen fire department announced in the evening.
