The Turk from the Amstetten district was driving a car south on the Mühlkreis Autobahn at around 2:30 a.m. According to the police, the vehicle skidded due to aquaplaning and crashed into a guardrail on the left side of the road.
The 23-year-old injured his hands in the accident. After receiving first aid from the rescue team, he was taken to hospital. His vehicle was badly damaged. The left lane was closed during the clean-up work.
