A 15-year-old from Lochen was driving with her mother on the Auerbacher Landesstraße in Kirchbei near Mattighofen on Saturday at around 9 p.m. as part of her training trip. A 44-year-old man from Kirchberg was driving towards them and shortly before the end of the village, the two vehicles collided sideways. The 15-year-old was slightly injured, but was able to get to Braunau Hospital on her own.
A breathalyzer test on the 44-year-old showed a blood alcohol level of 1.8 per mille. His driving license was temporarily taken away and he was prohibited from driving any further.
