The woman from the Braunau district was walking with her 63-year-old husband on the state road from Aich towards Eggelsberg at around 5:30 p.m. The 54-year-old was walking about ten meters behind her husband on the left side of the road. A blue Peugeot small car was coming towards the walkers from the direction of Eggelsberg. The car with Braunau license plates drove past the 63-year-old and hit the woman with its right-hand wing mirror. The vehicle lost several parts of the mirror. The unknown driver drove on without stopping.
Several drivers following behind had observed the incident. They stopped and asked about the woman. The 54-year-old suffered injuries in the accident and went to the hospital in Braunau herself.
