It is currently unclear how the accident occurred. What is certain is that the man was driving his vehicle south on the B134 at around 5:30 a.m., as the police reported on Monday. In the area of the Weghof intersection, his vehicle skidded and crashed into a tree.
The impact was so severe that the 30-year-old and his 20-year-old passenger – both from the Grieskirchen district – were trapped in the vehicle and had to be freed by emergency services. They were taken to Wels Hospital with injuries.
