Zelensky approved a new strategy for information security of Ukraine

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy approved a new strategy for the country’s information security. This became known on Tuesday, December 28.

“Introduce the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine dated October 15, 2021” On the information security strategy “(attached). To approve the strategy of national security (attached), ”reads the text of the decree, published on the website of the President of Ukraine.

The document also states that “Russia’s information policy is a threat to Ukraine.” In this regard, such strategic goals and directions for ensuring information security as “countering disinformation and information operations of Russia, ensuring the comprehensive development of Ukrainian culture and establishing Ukrainian civic identity, increasing the level of media culture and media literacy of society” have been identified.

We are also talking about the informational reintegration of “citizens of Ukraine living in the temporarily occupied territories”.

The decree comes into force on the day of publication.

On December 28, Zelenskiy imposed sanctions on three companies that include opposition TV channels. The decision also affected the Novosti media holding, Taras Kozak, deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from the Opposition Platform – For Life (Opposition Platform – For Life).
