The SF Song and Dance Ensemble performed a New Year’s concert in Karabakh

Artists of the Northern Fleet Song and Dance Ensemble performed in front of Russian peacekeepers and local residents in Nagorno-Karabakh. This was announced on Wednesday, December 29, by the RF Ministry of Defense.

In addition, they congratulated the Russian peacekeeping contingent and presented the military with a New Year tree.

“The concerts of the ensemble will last until the end of the New Year holidays. We will pass all the outposts and outposts with them. We will wish each serviceman a Happy New Year and give them New Year’s gifts, ”said Aleksey Polyukhovich, a representative of the Russian peacekeepers.

During the New Year and Christmas holidays, the ensemble will give concerts at all 27 observation posts in Nagorno-Karabakh. In addition, the team will visit a boarding school in Stepanakert with their program.

“The Song and Dance Ensemble of the Northern Fleet came to us today. We performed well, we liked it. The deputy commander gave us a tree. With their arrival, we felt the approach of the New Year, ”said Alexander Skorobogatov, a representative of the Russian peacekeeping contingent.

On the eve, the servicemen of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in Nagorno-Karabakh, together with benefactors, on the eve of the New Year holidays, simultaneously held more than 10 humanitarian actions in the Askeran region per day. They congratulated and presented gifts to more than 1,700 children from kindergartens and schools.

In November 2020, Armenia and Azerbaijan, with the participation of Russia, signed an agreement on the cessation of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh. The document also provides for the introduction of Russian peacekeepers into the region, the exchange of prisoners between the parties to the conflict, the transfer of a number of regions of the region by Armenia to Azerbaijan and the return of refugees to Karabakh.
