In 2023, the Haag Theatersommer will go to Greece – in 2024, it will go to Transylvania and London. The audience can look forward to a frighteningly funny horror comedy.
Yes, really – to Transylvania!
“Don’t be frightened right away… Or yes, go ahead and be frightened, but only during the performance. Because with our Dracula comedy, we are attempting a feat of making you, dear audience, scared and laughing at the same time,” says artistic director Christian Dolezal, looking forward to next year’s theater summer.
“Alexander Pschill and Kaja Dymnicki, the directing duo that you already know from our Shakespeare performances ‘Twelfth Night’ and ‘Measure for Measure’, have taken on this incredibly exciting story and I would go so far as to say that it will be a particularly delicious experience!” said the Haag director.
A total of 16 performances will be performed in Haag from June 26, 2024 (premiere) to July 27. In the main role, Christian Dolezal, who will play Professor Gabriel van Helsing, will be joined by Aleksandra Corovic, who will play Dracula. And of course – something Haag has stood for for many years – there will be music again. Stefan Lasko and Stefan Galler, who have already been responsible for the music in several plays in Haag, have been brought on board again.
