Line dancing in the Burggarten, Pilates in Welldorado: From June 10th, the public spaces of Wels will once again be the backdrop for “Wels bewegt”. With the program, the city offers numerous courses in which participants can get to know new sports.
The offer is divided into two blocks – from June 10th to July 14th and from August 12th to September 8th. The program includes well-known activities such as yoga, Pilates and aqua aerobics, but also mobility training, line dancing and forest bathing are represented.
Different age groups and families are also addressed, for example with “father-mother-child yoga”.
There are recommendations from the city’s politicians to take part: “Those who exercise stay fit both mentally and physically,” says Mayor Andreas Rabl. Health officer and Vice Mayor Klaus Schinninger is pleased that the city is offering the courses again: “After all, this free exercise program has enjoyed great popularity in recent years.”
All courses are free and beginner-friendly, led by experienced trainers. Registration is not necessary. In most cases, all you need is a mat and a towel.
The entire course program is available here. The municipal staff are available to answer any questions you may have at07242/2353980 or by email to gd@wels.gv.at available.
