Once again, the Ibu volcano erupted and left shocking images in the social networks. After an episode that occurred last Sunday, this time the volcanic activity caused a thick column of smoke, lava and ashes who reached the five kilometers high.

The eruption of the Ibu volcano
At approximately 5:36 a.m. local time, the volcano erupted for at least two minutes. The seismic phenomenon caused the mountain to spit out a thick column of smoke, gases and ashes that reached 5km in height.
Mount Ibu measures about 1,325 meters high and is located on Halmahera Island, in the North Maluku province. After the eruption, the ash clouds remained visible for a long time and then blended into the sky.
