MÜHLVIERTEL. In the national apprentice competition for pedicurists, beauticians and masseurs, a total of three podium places went to the Mühlviertel. Under the motto “The Magic of Flowers”, this year’s Junior Skills Austria took place in Vorarlberg in the categories of foot care, cosmetics, massage and fantasy make-up. A total of 22 apprentices – the best of the best from all federal states – took on the challenge and were able to show off their skills in front of a jury of experts.
Jana Aiglsdorfer from Lembach won the massage category and took first place. She learned the craft of pampering her customers in Elisabeth Falkner’s Massage Knackpunkt training company in Vorderweißenbach. Jana Felhofer from Julbach took second place in the foot care category. She acquired her professional skills from Johanna Mörixbauer, also in Vorderweißenbach. Vanessa Gruber from Puchenau took third place in the fantasy make-up category. She is completing her apprenticeship at Kosmetik und Fußpflege Rechberger in Puchenau.
State guild master Eva Danner-Parzer is pleased with the achievements shown: “Our participants from Upper Austria have impressively demonstrated the high level of competence of the craft apprentices. These successes are a strong testimony to the quality of the apprenticeship training in our companies and the vocational school.”
