BMF warns of phishing website in the style of “Bundesschatz.at”

Finance Minister Magnus Brunner (VP)

Using a fake video of Finance Minister Magnus Brunner (ÖVP), visitors are asked to enter personal data. According to the press release, the fake websites in question are currently being advertised on Facebook and Instagram.

The BMF pointed out that the official website www.bundesschatz.at always uses an ID-Austria login and no other type of authentication and never requests data via an external website. It is advisable to only use the official access at www.bundesschatz.at and under no circumstances to use a link in social media that supposedly leads to this online portal.
