The municipal council of Vöcklabruck awarded Karin Eidenberger the city’s Golden Medal of Honor for her services to culture in Vöcklabruck.
Eidenberger was director of the Vöcklabruck State Music School from 2009 to 2023 and chairwoman of the Vöcklabruck Bruckner Association for a long time. The soprano gave many concerts in the Stadtsaal and also lent her voice to the Mondsee Singers’ Association, the Hard-Chor Linz and the Vöcklabruck Vocal Chamber Choir.
Karin Eidenberger was also active in city politics for many years. Among other things, she was cultural officer and deputy mayor until 2021. In recent weeks she organized the VöcklaBRUCKNERfest.
