Once again, there was a serious accident involving a tractor in Upper Austria – only the day before, a farmer had crashed his tractor over an embankment 20 meters deep in Gaspotshofen (Grieskirchen district).

In Peilstein, Upper Mühlviertel, a 33-year-old was busy mowing with his tractor on Wednesday at around 7 p.m. when the accident occurred. The vehicle fell over an embankment and the farmer was trapped underneath.
The 24-year-old partner could hear the injured man’s cries for help in the nearby house. She found her friend lying under the tractor. With enormous effort, she was able to lift the heavy vehicle and free the 33-year-old. Then she called the emergency doctor. After initial treatment, the injured man was flown to the UHK Linz by the Christophorus 10 rescue helicopter.
