The serious accident occurred at 12:10 p.m. at the intersection on the L511. A car driver (47) from the Ried district overlooked a young motorcyclist when turning left towards Aurolzmünster. The young motorcyclist was driving behind another car.
The 16-year-old was hit by the car and thrown over the hood. He was seriously injured and had to undergo emergency surgery at Ried Hospital. Police reported this on Friday evening.
