An artificial snow trail has been in operation in the Liebenau winter sports arena since the beginning of this week. The 1.2-kilometer route is suitable for both skaters and anyone who prefers classic cross-country skiing. “It was a mega-project to transport the artificial snow to the cross-country ski run”, said the managing director of the winter sports arena Liebenau, Andreas Hennerbichler jun., Thanks his team. Since the arena has continuous LED lighting – there is a light pillar every 28 meters – amateur athletes can also go cross-country skiing in the evening after work. Hennerbichler: “The arena trail can therefore be used daily until 9 p.m.”
The location on a high plateau at almost 1000 meters above sea level – Liebenau is the highest municipality in Upper Austria – offers a comparatively good guarantee of snow. This also applies to the neighboring ski lift: here, too, carefree skiing fun is currently possible for families on an artificial snow slope that was laid out weeks ago.
