For reasons unknown, the young woman drove her car onto the opposite lane and crashed into the car of an oncoming 66-year-old man from Germany. The local woman died at the scene of the accident. The man in the other vehicle was taken to hospital by rescue helicopter, the police said in a press release.
It was not possible to conduct an alcohol test on the 66-year-old German due to his injuries. The public prosecutor’s office ordered the involvement of an expert. Investigations into the circumstances of the accident have begun.
