What is the status of the sanitation works?
About the plan sanitation works that will reach 61 locations, Amarilla maintained that they are still “in the process of analyzing everything that was the previous stage.”
“We believe that from an environmental point of view this construction is very important because, in addition to improving the quality of life to the people – it even improves the health status of the population, because not having sewage near the home also generates an improvement in the quality of people’s health; have a environmental effect very important: treating the water means that it will not go untreated to both groundwater and surface basins,” said the undersecretary.
At the moment, the environmental evaluation projects of the plants that require one due to their size have not yet reached the ministry, since not all works must meet this requirement, according to Amarilla.
“They are very important projects for the country, without prejudice to the fact that the ministry is going to comply with the conditions and technical requirements so that the different projects do not have environmental impacts, apparently there would be no objections for them to continue moving forward,” he stated.
