A pensioner from Linz was the victim of a robbery in the early afternoon of February 6th: As the 75-year-old, who suffers from Parkinson’s disease, was leaving a bank branch on Wiener Strasse in the south of Linz at around 1:15 p.m., a young man approached her, pushed her and ripped her handbag from her shoulder.
The woman’s handbag was found a short time later in an apartment building – but the 1,500 euros in cash that had been taken was missing.
The city police command began investigations, which ultimately led to a 31-year-old from Bad Hall. The suspect, who is believed to be from the drug scene, was clearly identified, according to the police. He was arrested last Sunday. He confessed to the crime and is now being held in Linz prison.
