Three boys were travelling around Upper and Lower Austria over the weekend without a driving licence and in a car they had stolen in Wiener Neustadt. Two 15-year-olds from the Kirchdorf an der Krems district, who were known to the authorities, and a friend of theirs had started up the vehicle on the premises of a car repair shop on Saturday.

Easy game for thieves

The trio had an easy job: the windows were open and the key was clearly visible in the center console. They took the license plates from another car that was also in the parking lot and reinstalled them.
