According to the forecast by the experts from Geosphere Austria on Thursday, the situation will calm down again at the beginning of the week.

In the West, on Friday morning Dense clouds pass through. Further to the east and southeast, however, the day starts sunny after the fog quickly clears. By the afternoon at the latest, dense clouds will pass through here too, causing light rain in places, especially in the southwest. In Tyrol and Vorarlberg, sunny weather will continue in the afternoon. The wind will come from mainly southern directions, but will mostly be weak to moderate. Early temperatures will be between four and eleven degrees, and the highest temperatures during the day will be between 18 and 24 degrees.

On Saturday A cold front is sweeping the country from the west. This means that the west will have very unsettled weather all day with sun, clouds and showers. Otherwise, the day often starts sunny and only later in the day do cumulus clouds and subsequent showers and thunderstorms become noticeable. The wind will initially be light to moderate, in the east also partly brisk from the southeast to the south, with the showers and thunderstorms bringing a brisk westerly wind. Early temperatures will range from eight to 14 degrees, with the highest daily temperatures from west to east 19 to 28 degrees.

First, am Sunday some remaining clouds and local rain showers, in the south it is still quite sunny from the start of the day. As the day progresses, the clouds in the north and east gradually clear up and the sun appears more and more often. In the mountains, local thunderstorms can also occur in the afternoon. The wind is usually only light. The early temperatures are between ten and 16 degrees, the daytime maximum temperatures from west to east are between 18 and 27 degrees.

To start the week on Monday The sun will often shine. During the day, some cumulus clouds will form and the risk of showers and thunderstorms will increase slightly, particularly over the mountains. In the lowlands, the weather is likely to remain stable and largely rain-free. The wind will generally be light. Early temperatures: ten to 16 degrees, daytime maximum temperatures: 24 to 29 degrees.

On Tuesday Austria will remain in a south-westerly flow. In this area, widespread sunshine is to be expected. At midday and in the afternoon, the cumulus clouds will grow higher over the mountains. The wind will be light, and along the main Alpine ridge and in the north-eastern lowlands it will also be moderate from the south-east to the south. Early temperatures will be between 13 and 19 degrees, with daytime maximum temperatures between 26 and 31 degrees.
