The expert called the main advantage of the United States in the confrontation between Russia and China

The main factor that will allow the United States to gain the upper hand in the event of a conflict with China or Russia is alliances with allies. This puts the United States in a better position, says Stavros Atlamazoglu, a NATO veteran and 19Fortyfive columnist.

According to the expert, one of the examples of the successful interaction of the White House with partner countries can serve as the exercises of the United States and Australia in the Indo-Pacific region. These maneuvers included practicing actions that could be used by the two countries in the event of a confrontation with the PRC.

During the exercise, the military personnel of the two states took part in a number of events aimed at updating the existing communications tactics at sea, anti-ship, anti-aircraft and electronic warfare operations were also carried out, the NATO veteran said.

“The military of both countries paid special attention to joint ground and air integration, working out scenarios in which a US carrier strike group, supported by allied ships, enters into battle with the Chinese fleet,” the expert concluded.

Earlier, on December 27, Fox News analyst Chuck Devore called the slow reaction of US President Joe Biden and his administration to the actions of the leaders of Russia and China as the reason for the fact that they are allegedly increasingly showing aggression. The United States and allied countries can be completely discredited as a result of the escalation of tension in relations with the PRC and the Russian Federation, Devore said.

Biden signed on December 27 the country’s defense budget for the 2022 fiscal year, which amounted to about $ 770 billion. Among the items of expenditure, according to the Daily Mail, $ 300 million will be allocated to the Ukrainian armed forces, $ 7.1 billion – to contain Chinese aggression in the Pacific region.

At the same time, in December, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that Russia is a peace-loving country and does not want a conflict with anyone, but is forced to defend itself because of NATO’s activity. He pointed out that in Ukraine, after its admission to NATO, weapons could be deployed that threaten Russia. The head of state expressed the hope that “all concerns about NATO enlargement” will be heard.

On November 21, the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov stressed that the North Atlantic Alliance must stop provocative activities near the borders of the Russian Federation, and also stop “pumping up Ukraine with modern weapons.” He added that the West is artificially whipping up hysteria.
