The government seems committed to completing the greatest number of pending public works before the end of the current period, and therefore inaugurated road works for nearly 40 million dollars on Route 20, in the department of Black river.
This Thursday, in the town of Greccohe Republic President, Luis Lacalle Pouwho had requested Minister council prioritizing pending work before undertaking new matters, led the inauguration of the rehabilitation work and new route of Route 20.
When speaking, the president highlighted that the inauguration corresponds to a “fair” work and in response to the insistence of the neighbors over time. Lacalle Pou He also maintained that the government must “repay with works” the money that people pay in their taxes.

On the other hand, the Minister of Transportation and Public Works (MTOP), José Luis Faleropresent at the site like other national and departmental authorities, specified that the works on route 20 (between routes 3 and 5) included the improvement of 40 kilometers, as well as the construction of a new 35-kilometer route and four bridges.
In line with what the president said, Falero He stated that “today, production needs to have a road network different from the existing one,” in order to shorten distances, reduce the cost of freight and decongest traffic on the routes.
