The man was attacked by a trio at the end of May and died of his serious injuries in hospital on Thursday, police reported on Friday. The three suspects, aged between 25 and 46, are on the run and a search is ongoing. The 29-year-old son of the now deceased was also seriously injured in the attack.
The altercation occurred on May 29th. “During a dispute during a party,” said police spokesman Johann Baumschlager. The Wiener Neustadt public prosecutor’s office ordered the publication of photos of the accused. Information on the whereabouts of the men was requested from the Vösendorf police station (Tel.: 059133-3343).
