What is said to have happened in mid-May during a school week for sixth graders at the Aloisianum private high school in Linz is causing quite a stir. According to reports, a 15-year-old girl was locked up by her classmates and ordered to massage them. At the beginning of June, the public prosecutor’s office began investigations into deprivation of liberty and coercion against four suspects following a complaint from the school. At the same time, the school contracts with the boys’ parents were terminated and they had to leave the school. The teachers at the Aloisianum are united in their support of the school management’s decision.

Looking for a new school
In order to be able to finish the school year successfully, a place at a new school is required. There, the sixth-graders would then have to complete so-called assessment tests. This means that the entire material of the school year must be checked and demonstrated in every subject. Once this has been done, the students can move up to the seventh grade. The education authority said that these tests would be subject to deadlines, but that some could also be taken in the fall.
If a change of school is not possible at such short notice, the four young people can repeat the sixth year at another school location. The decision on how to proceed rests with the parents. “The parents do not have to contact us, but if they wish, we can help them find a school place,” says the spokesperson for the Education Directorate, Birgit Kopf.
Meanwhile, the suspects have not yet been questioned. The student, who has been at home since the incident, was questioned this week. Her lawyer is making serious allegations against the accused – the OÖN reported:
